According to West Boylston's Lynn Babineau art is at once her passion, her disease and a cure.
"It is the one constant that I have had my entire life," she remarks.

She won her first ribbon at a second grade arts fair at a small Lutheran school on the shores of Lake Michigan. The rest, as they say, is history.

"I consider myself fortunate that from kindergarten through high school I had the opportunity to have art as part of my early education," she says.

The summer after high school is when she fell in love wither her medium of choice, watercolor, while studying in the Chicago area with artist Neal Kienitz.

She went on an “arts hiatus,” so to speak, to raise a family early in her adulthood, but soon rediscovered her love of art, particular of watercolor,...

WBAF Board Welcomes
Lynn Babineau
At the WBAF’s October Meeting, the positions of our
current officers and directors including Sarah
O’Connor, Carolynn Somma, Mark Baldi, Deb
Corbett, and Bryan Fancy, were renewed. With one
vacancy open due to the retirement of former
Superintendent Tom Kane, the Board accepted the
application of West Boylston artist and resident Lynn
Babineau to join the Board.
Lynn Babineau works primarily in watercolor,
watercolor collage and miniature watercolor portraits
on ivory. Lynn grew up in northwest Indiana where
here early education encouraged creativity and
sparked her passion for art. While still in school she
received a scholarship to study with artist Neil
Kienitz who
introduced her
to watercolor
painting. More

has studied
with author and
teacher, Gerald
Brommer,
where she learned the technique of watercolor

Come to support the arts programs and other educational happenings in the Worcester Public Schools! Fifty area artist have embellished 16" x 2" wood hearts,which will be offered for sale through a silent auction. Preview is from 4:00 to 5:00 PM, and then the bidding starts. Bid high and bid often! Acclaimed local photographer Tony King has also donated a beautiful picture for this event, and Bill Cavanagh of C.C. Lowell's has framed it. You may purchase tickets for a chance to own this piece at $5.00 each or three for $10.00. Enjoy some music, food, fun and refreshment with the artists.
